Quick update

Happy June!  Okay, maybe I have decided I am going to blog a bit more on my life before it's really time to set sail on my adventure with Logan towards the end of the summer.  I've had quite a few things actually happen here recently!

1.  I actually started working decent hours at the store I work at after I attempted to quit a few Sunday's ago.  That was an interesting day.  I did have the last two days off so it's been quite nice to slow down just for a bit.

2. I got a new guitar!  Ladies and Gents, let me introduce you to Lily.  She's my new Ibanez acoustic-electric and the closest thing I've ever had to a baby that's for sure.
3. I am surprising my amazing other half for his 36 hour pass in Georgia.  It's going to be a long drive for such a short time but I know it will be totally worth it.  And I'm super stoked about just being able to spend some time with my best friend again.

4. Speaking of my super amazing other half, he called me today!  It was only for a short 10 minutes but I cling tight to the sound of his voice and those silly stories until I am able to hear from him again.  Of all the things he could have told me, he decided to share that he got in a fight earlier today with one of his "buddies."  He said after they got their anger out on each other, they hugged and called it good.  Sometimes "men" never really lose that inner child inside of them....

Either way, I am counting down the days until I see him again and I am crossing my fingers that the time miraculously passes quicker then the speed it has been currently.  Until then, I will continue to play my new guitar and post some videos on youtube when I find the time.

Miss you, Baby.

Watching the paint dry.

I'm not really planning on posting much until Logan and I make the big official move to DC but I had nothing to do before work today and I figured "hey, why not?"  So here I am.

Things have been rather slow since my other half left for Fort Benning.  Really.  I find myself glancing at the clock every other five minutes to see if I've tackled another day or not.  But between work, hair school, writing him, and my music I manage to stay relatively busy.   The upcoming week, I pretty much have nothing on my schedule except work, work, and more work.  I am ready to get past the next seven days.  Heck, I'm ready to get past this summer.  It's dragging.

As for my music, I played downtown last weekend and ended up making some easy money and getting a two day gig at the end of the month for a fair we have coming into town.  It's not really a big deal, but it's stage time and it's money.  I am so looking forward to having more opportunities to perform when we head up to East coast.  My guitar really is the only thing keeping me sane at the moment here in Arkansas.  It's pretty sad.  Ha.  But I just keep reminding myself that I've officially got less than three months here before my life as I know is about to completely change.  I am so very ready.

I wish I had more of an interesting life to post about right now but it's pretty hard when my entire world is stuck in the Georgia clay until August 10th.  So as Logan loves to say, "signing out."

Love & miss you, Babe.

Introducing...

Brittany.  That's me.  I am currently in pursuit of my musical career.  I am dating the guy of my dreams.  He's Logan.  We are both from Arkansas and will be making a rather big move to the DC area at the end of the summer.  This is because of Logan being in the Army.  I decided to start this blog to keep people back home and strangers alike updated on my life.  So hopefully someone out there will find our story interesting!
